For sale today we have this extremely rare figure of the Greek God Pan. To a design by Mary Seton Watts, the figure is of the horned, Goat legged God sitting atop a pile of rocks while playing the pipes. Naturalistic colours and set on a circular base. Marked to the inner base with a later Compton Pottery Guildford stamp. For a similar example please see the Hilary Calvert book of the Compton pottery, pp211 fig A29.

29cm tall x 13cm across and in excellent condition. Light wear to the tempera colours but no damage or repair. We are experienced dealers in mid to high end ceramics, metalware and other items.
