Of small proportions, this Arts & Crafts rocking chair is made of stained oak with a sea grass seat. The legs are tapered and turned, as are the uprights, which end in large, flat finials.

William Birch of High Wycombe was a manufacturer of classic Arts & Crafts antique furniture, particularly chairs. This rocking chair is an unusual and lovely example of his work.
