Adam Style Mahogany Elbow Chair

Super quality Georgian style mahogany elbow or carver chair in the Adam taste, of particularly good weight of timber, having a carved ‘bar back’ cresting rail above an inset hoop back with caning and central mahogany floral carved panel, swept arms on vase turned supports, above a shaped cane seat and raised on elegant reeded circular section tapering legs with floral paterae. Ideal for use with a desk.
This chair would almost certainly originally have had a loose squab cushion to the seat we would be pleased to advise regarding provision of a replacement.
Width 23″ (58cm) Depth 22″ (56cm) Height (overall) 34″ (86cm) Height (seat) 17” (41cm)
Condition and Details of Restoration
This chair is in original and completely sound structural condition. The polish has been revived, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are some minor old marks, but nothing particularly noticeable. There is some extremely minor damage to the caning, but certainly nothing serious enough to affect its structural integrity.
