aesthetic movement / arts & crafts bedroom suite comprising of a large triple door wardrobe and dressing table.
the wardrobe with fabulously ornate flared cornice with inlay detail, central mirrored door flanked either side by panelled doors, beautifully inlaid with birds and flowers, enclosing (at one side) four large sliding tray shelves over four fitted deep drawers with recessed brass handles and (at the other side) hanging space and hooks and a further deep drawer below, standing on shaped inlaid plinth base.
the dressing table top has inlaid framed mirror with turned supports and inlaid mounts with two small drawers, the base with nine drawers, all with beautifully decorative handles and inlay detail.
this striking bedroom suite really needs to be seen to be appreciated, there is a shrinkage split to one side of the wardrobe and one side of the dressing table (a common occurance in antique pieces but in no way affect or detract from the suite) and normal scuffs and marks commensurate with age and use but overall this wonderful wardrobe and dressing table really are very good quality in good condition.
