We are pleased to offer for sale this very attractive, carved Alabaster Table Lamp together with a new shade from the makers of the Downton Abbey and various TV series, lampshades.

The Base of Alabaster is in a vase shape with carved top and bottom sections, upon a circular socle with further hatched carving, which rests upon a two tier square plinth base.

The shade is in the 'Paris' style and features panels of gold sateen, with corner panels in William Morris 'Snakeshead' fabric. It is trimmed with a matching gold braid, soft gold fringe overlaid with vanilla and gold beads and is finished off with gold and vanilla beaded tassels on the corners.

The lamp has been rewired in soft gold braided fabric coloured flex and has all new fittings including a safer switched lampholder, plug and shade carrier.

Height to top of shade: 25" - 63.5cm

Diameter of base: 4 1/2" - 11.5cm square

Width of shade: 11" - 28cm square

Condition: Very good. One small section of the base (the socle) has had some repair and restoration in the past, but it is now in good condition and ready for use. The shade is new.
