We are offering for sale this large and atmospheric oil on canvas by the British artist ALFRED ALLAN, who has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner. The painting depicts a fishing boat hauling in the nets over the side of the vessel. There is a storm brewing, juding by the dark clouds over the land.

ALFRED ALLAN, was born in Belfast in 1944 but moved with his family to Leslie, Fife in 1957. He started drawing from the age of 3 and won many prizes for his art during his school days. Due to family circumstances, he was unable to go to university or art college, but while working continued painting and drawing in his spare time.

He now lives in Glenrothes, Fife and specialises in landscapes, marines and coastal scenes in both oil and acrylic. His work is in many private collections throughout the world and he is a well respected modern Scottish artist and much in demand for demonstrations and workshops.

The painting is newly framed in a 3 1/2" ornate swept gilt frame. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
