Amboyna And Coromandel Wood Writing Slope
Burr Walnut and coromandel wood writing slope
A fine example of a Amboyna and Coromandel wood writing slope/box. Surprisingly no makers mark. The exterior is highlighted with presentation plaque to original owner and key escutcheon in mother of pearl. The fitted interior lined in coromandel contains an ink bottle and two compartments with covers and original leather writing surface. Circa 1880s.
Condition: Ware to the leather where it has been folded as you might expect. One tiny nick to the corner top right, Otherwise lovely order
