American Waltham Pocket Watch 18s c1897

A good, gentleman's American Waltham 18 size Pocket Watch dating from c1897.
This watch is a good example, in nice condition and in good working order.
The Silverode case was made by the Philadelphia Watch Case Company. Silverode is a nickel alloy that was produce to have the appearance of silver, but much stronger so was often used in railroad and other everyday watches due to its durability. The case is in good condition, all covers screwing off and on smoothly as they should.
The white enamel dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals and a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock. It is signed by the maker American Waltham Watch Co.
The good quality, Waltham 15 jewel Lever movement is in excellent working order.
The watch measures 53mm in diameter (across the case, excluding the winding crown).
Overall, this is a very good example, it would make a lovely addition to any collection. Specialists in Antique Pocket Watches & Vintage Wristwatches, Jewellery, Silver (including Scottish Provincial),Good Quality Antiques & Works of Art.
