An antique Waltham full hunter pocket watch
An antique Waltham full hunter pocket watch.
The watch has a 15 jewel stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is signed and it has the serial number 22740526 which dates it back to 1919. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50.7mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 10 carat gold filled and was originally guaranteed to wear 20 years so it is a good quality case. It was made by the English based case maker Aaron Dennison who previously worked at Waltham. The case is in nice condition with only light surface marks from use and a small "ding" to the front cover.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside is a plastic lens which is in good condition. The dial is signed Waltham, U.S.A. The dial has a couple of faint hairline cracks although hardly noticeable but otherwise it is in nice condition.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
