An Arts & Crafts Oak Desk
Of small proportions and fine detail, this Arts & Crafts oak desk has three drawers, two cupboards and a leather inset top. It has panelled doors and sides which have chamfered frames and, along with the drawer fronts, fluted decoration. It has brass handles and turned feet. The locks are stamped VR for the reign of Queen Victoria.
It measures 107cm wide, 54cm deep and 75.5cm high. The kneehole is 36.5cm wide and 59cm high.
It is in good condition with the old knocks and stains in keeping with a piece of its age. The leather is well-used but still perfectly functional and attractive. One cupboard door has a replacement lock and boths doors have functioning keys.
