An early 20th century Calacatta marble column. Standing on an octagonal socle with a two part hollow column all in decoratively veined Calacatta marble which hails from Vagli, Carrara Basin, Italy. 1040mm high and 310mm diameter. Italian. Circa 1920. W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries.
