An exceptional Georgian mahogany knee-hole desk. This piece retains all its original handles, locks, escutcheons and bracket feet and has taken a lovely colour with a waxed patina. It also has the unusual features of drawers in the knee-hole and a brushing slide. Constructed from dense mahogany with English oak drawer linings and in very good condition. 840mm high, 950mm wide and 550mm deep. English. Circa 1775 W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries.
