This is a fine set of six 19th century watercolour paintings on pith paper depicting senior court officials with their attendants. Some are presenting Ruyi Sceptre to the officials seated upon fine thrones adorned with Fo dogs. They are wearing beautifully decorated traditional robes depicting the five claw dragon with rank badges. Traditional Chinese footwear is also depicted on beautiful Chinese carpets.
These are exceptional quality, finely painted on pith parchment and are in really nice condition. They are attractively presented in matching plain black frames that are substantial in size, measuring 43 cms by 33 cms overall.
