Anglo-Indian School of Art Jeypore brass top table

Stunning antique Anglo-Indian large brass top occasional/coffee table made by the School of Art Jeypore during the Late 19th Century
Circular dish shaped top with a decorated border and an applied rope-twist design edge. The central section is plain.
Rosewood base comprising 6 legs profusely carved with a repeating floral design. The cross braces are separated by panels of interconnecting spindles.
With 6 contact points between base and top, the table forms a stable surface and would make an excellent coffee table. The top lifts off and the base folds for easy storage when not in use.
"School of Art Jeypore" is engraved on the base of the brass top.

Condition Overall the condition is very good. There are some minor flaws which should be mentioned for completeness sake. On the brass top there is a small dent on the return between the decorated border and the smooth central panel, a gentle bending to the edge of the top in one location, and some tiny creases in the centre. On the folding base one of the small spindles is missing and the tops and bases of the legs and the central columns on each leg once bore narrow collars of metal which have now mostly disintegrated & disappeared. These minor signs of age do little to detract from this exceptional table.
