Antique 17th Century William & Mary Oak Press Cupboard and dating from around 1695. Originating from the Lake District with projecting carved frieze with turned finials to each end over two panelled doors with carved celtic design and carved central panel. There is a carved frieze to the base with panelled inscription initials ' I H ' and the date of 1695 which is original to the cupboard. This is above two panelled doors with ironwork hinges and flanked on either side by moulded panels. Internally there are two later shelves. It is moulded to the base and stands on later Georgian bun feet. It has panelled sides and is hand & peg joined.
The top removes for ease of transporting

In very good condition with lovely deep colour and patination to the oak oozing all the charm and character of the period.
