This is a good quality large 19th century French carved gilt-wood sofa recently reupholstered in this very attractive patterned chenille cloth. The seat area has a separate squab cushion that has also been reupholstered so is firm and comfortable. This has a removable zipped cover in the same fabric which can be removed for cleaning. The sofa is good sound order with no movement to the joints, having had strengthening supports added to the back when the piece was fully reupholstered.
The sofa measures 194 cm wide 106 cm high by 80 cm deep.The seat cushion is 51 cm high and 70 cm deep at the deepest point.
