Antique 9 Carat Gold Locket Necklace
A magnificent fully hallmarked 375 / 9 carat gold antique locket suspended from an elegant 9 carat gold 17 inch cable chain necklace. This stunning locket was assayed (tested for purity) at Birmingham Assay Office in 1912. The locket necklace is in superb condition. Absolutely glorious and much a more brilliant shiny gold than these images show. Both sides are adorned with swallows in flight framed by garlands of forget-me-nots.
The depiction of swallows represents good luck, safe return from travelling, happiness, and positivity. Forget-me-not flowers symbolise true love and respect.
Richly embossed edges add to the luxurious appearance of this sumptuous beauty.
The original portraits, clear portrait protectors and frames are present.
All clasps and hinges work perfectly.
