Ebonised Games Table - James Shoolbred London - c1890

This folding card table is presented in excellent order. The piece makes a good hallway, study or sofa table and converts to a fine card table with a rotating top section which folds over to reveal an original baize interior with attractive tooling to the outer perimeter.

The table rides upon turned legs which are unified at each end by a pleasing bobbin railed stretcher providing both interest and stability.

The table top turns through a quarter turn to reveal a storage compartment.

The table is of good craftsmanship and bears the label of James Shoolbred, London. The table is presented in excellent order with the original ebonised finish well maintained.

Overall this piece of antique furniture is in very good condition. The table is well constructed and makes an attractive piece.

A wonderful games playing table and a good example of the type.
