This is an antique bureau in mahogany. An English, late Georgian desk featuring secret compartments, dating to late 18th century, circa 1780.

Quality craftsmanship in polished walnut.

Dressed with drop handles over pierced brass back-plates

The central cupboard with secret slides to either side with half column decoration
Flanked by three cubbies over a suite of four shaped drawers with brass handles
Raised on ogee bracket feet so typical of the late Georgian era
