This antique burr walnut side table has two drawers, so I’m not sure whether to call is a chest or side table. It has a wonderful double serpentine shaped front. The top is burr walnut with a cross banded border & the top edges are well carved. The drawers too are burr walnut & have original brass handles. It has grooved canted corners & sits on solid walnut legs that are carved on the tops. This table is top quality & is in excellent condition. The burr walnut is very dense & shows an interesting pattern running through the top & the two drawers. It’s just been French polished & dates to around the 1910-20’s period.
