Impressive antique burr walnut sofa table with shaped drop ends. It's in excellent condition & dates from around the 1930's period. The burr walnut veneers are beautifully patterned all over & this table has a lovely mellow colour. The front & back are polished. The top is also cross banded & the two drawers have original pierced brass handles. The sides & the bottom stretcher are all well shaped to match & the stretcher helps give the table more stability. These sofa antique tables were originally designed to go behind the flat back of a sofa, but they equally work as general side tables or could even be used as desks.
