This is a 17th century, English, William and Mary period chest of drawers in oak, c.1690.
A solid construction, this chest has a glorious patina and a deep rich colour. The drawers are oak lined with dove tailed joints and fronted by geometric field panels adorned with brass 'batwing' handles and working locks.
In a classic '2 over 3' configuration the graduated sizes offer flexible storage for the modern wardrobe in a beautiful, historical cabinet. Raised on bracket feet the chest possesses great proportion in a wonderfully honest substrate.
Superb quality and a stunning piece presented in good antique condition. Solid joints and construction. Delivered waxed & polished ready for the home.
