Very rare silver plated 1930s WORLD'S FAIR CHICAGO compact rouge

The most fabulous silver plated compact duo made in 1933 especially to commemorate the Chicago World's Fair. The lid is exquisite showing Chicago's awe inspiring Art Deco city scape. The scene is shown is superbly fine detail in low relief. Such a wonderful compact!It is very well made & heavy which is always a good sign. All clasps & hinges work perfectly.This superb lid lifts to reveal the rouge compartment with a tiny amount of the original rouge left & a hinged metal mirror which shows a good reflection. The metal mirror flips over to reveal another metal mirror also in very good condition. Then we can see the face powder
compartment with an inner lid (see image three). This is such a little treasure which captures a moment in time perfectly.This antique compact mirror / rouge measures 6 cm X 4 cm & weighs 54 grams.
