This is an antique coffer, a late 17th century, English oak, joined chest. A Charles II trunk dating to circa 1685.

Reciprocating carved guilloche to the front rails, stiles and muntins
Moulded detail to the plain field panels

Hinged lid lifts, offering voluminous storage within and featuring a candle box
