This is an antique continental armoire. A French oak wardrobe dating to the mid-19th century, circa 1850.

Select cuts of oak display fine grain interest and a desirable aged patina
Good consistent colour throughout with wisps of medullary rays
Displaying a fine lustre in the wax polished finish
Stylised carved panels adorn each surface to add further delight

Doors feature foliate motif and field panels intersected with scrolled heart carvings

Raised upon a continuous tiered plinth
