Antique COPPER WEDDING / 7TH ANNIVERSARY gift vintage Mascot powder compact copper gifts for her

This vintage powder compact is suitable as a handbag mirror.

A beautifully made Mascot powder compact made in the 1950s. Normally the gilding metal (brass) used to make compacts is 95 % copper. This Mascot compact has a higher copper content than this & so it has the most gorgeous copper hue. Making it an ideal copper wedding anniversary gift. The whole compact is beautiful. The lid is decorated with guilloche engraving & a rectangular cartouche. The inner lid is very attractive having an engine turned design of tiny diamond shapes & parallel lines. The inner lid is signed " Mascot ASB MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN". The mirror gives an good accurate reflection - it one tiny area of age related wear on the mirror on the bottom right hand corner which is easy to miss. However this is reflected in the price. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The base a simple yet stylish design of vertical lines.

This vintage powder compact measures 3 1/2 " X 3" & weighs 99.1 grams.
