Antique Country Kitchen House Keepers Cupboard

CODE 0227
DESCRIPTION:
Here we a have a lovely Oak 4 door Country House Keepers Cupboard dating from approx.c1910. This beautiful, coloured oak cupboard has 6 pine fixed shelves 3 to each cupboard. The sturdy doors are field and raised panelled again a beautiful honey coloured oak with bakelite handles unfortunately the locks have been removed but does not impair the use of the cupboard in anyway and could be reinstated with a bit of searching if required. The back to the cupboard again is very sturdy being of tongue & groove pine. The top is a removeable stepped cornice and the base is solid. The cupboard takes down to 4 pieces the base, the cornice and the two cupboards plus the four doors which all can be easily removed this makes transportation and setting up in the home or commercial premises very easy. This cupboard is of a very practical size without being overpowering, it would easily suit many settings both in the home or commercial setting. Although the piece is stunning just being the aged oak that with a bit of a clean and good polish would restore its patina a bring the hue of the oak out more it would also stand being painted.
DIMENSIONS:
O/A Height 2115mm Width 2715mm. Depth (of cornice) 520mm
Cupboard shelf Depth 400mm Space between shelving 245mm
Width internally of each cupboard 1225mm
WORKSHOP REPORT:
There is a bit of wood missing of the plinth at the top edge.
Drawing pin holes down the left side. (Polish would fill these over time)
Little nicks to the inner side of the doors where the original locks were.
It has had brass bolts put on as shown.
The odd bump and mark as would be expected and is nice to see due to use and the age of the cupboard.
If you require any more photos of any of the age related marks etc do get in contact.
