Antique early Caughley "Pagoda" tea caddy, c1785

Antique early Caughley porcelain "Pagoda" pattern tea caddy and cover.
The design dates to c1785.
The base of the caddy is marked with the Caughley "S" mark. The cover is not marked.
The caddy measures 8.5 cm (3.25") in diameter at its widest by 10 cm (4") tall (excluding cover).
All measurements are approximate.
The lid has at some time been broken. It has been extremely well repaired. The repair is barely noticeable top or bottom, apart from the underside chip drawing attention to the fault.
The printed design is clear. The gilding is good, though quite worn to the lid finial.
Please see photos as these form an important part of the description.
Selling price includes free UK postage. For other countries, please contact us for a quote.
