Antique Early Victorian Country Oak Blanket Box and dating from around 1840. It has a squared edge to the top and earlier iron strap hinges and a fabulous early iron large lock with ornate key. Internally there is a candle box with two secret drawers below. It is dovetail joined and stands on stile feet.

Measures 22" high x 20" deep x 43" wide

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the oak ooziing all the charm and character of the period.
