Antique Early Victorian Mahogany Armchair c1840
Lovely Antique Early Victorian Mahogany Show Frame Armchair and dating from around 1840. It has a deep button back above a padded feather seat cushion and has a deep moulded show frame with downswept armrests with carved supports leading to carved cabriole legs joined by a serpentine shaped frieze with carved cartouche to the centre. Upholstered in a very pale dusky peach damask totally in keeping with the period.
