This is an antique ecclesiastical side table. An Scottish, oak reception hall table with Gothic revival taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.
An appealing example of Puginesque Gothic taste
Displays a desirable aged patin and in very good order
Select oaks stocks present fine grain interest and medullary rays
Rich caramel hues beam beneath a light wax polish finish
Wide top surface over a generous kneehole height of 63cm (24.75'')
Arcading to the table sides and fascia enhance the ecclesiastical appearance
Fascinating fretwork patera accentuates the shaped apron with quarterfoil motif
Raised upon a quartet of tapering block feet, with wide foot rest uniting either side
