Antique Edwardian Metamorphic Library Chair/Steps
This is a beautifully made and aesthetically designed metamorphic chair that transforms into a set of 4 library steps. This chair was made during the Edwardian era and is made of solid mahogany.
The chair has beautifully carved front legs and grooved splats on the chair back. The front right leg and a board in the seat both had a crack in them which have been glued. All other joints are solid with no movement or creaking.
The timber has been cleaned, waxed and polished, there are normal patina marks from honest use and age.
This is a lovely and comfortable chair to grace any library or room with tall bookcases.
