Antique Edwardian Teak Blanket Box Chest c1900
Antique Edwardian Teak Blanket Box Chest and dating from around 1900. Possibly military the locks and hinges are stamped T.E Thompson & Co. Calcutta.
Constructed from quality teak it has a canted edge to the top with a brass handle to the front and two small ebony lock escutcheons. It stands on a moulded plinth base and has a brass carrying handle to each side. Internally is a candle box with lift up lid and two small drawers below.
Measures 23" high x 22" deep x 38" wide
In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our antique furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
