Antique English 18CT Gold Vesta Case, Birmingham
A very nice, antique, Edwardian, English 18CT Gold Vesta Case made by Deakin & Francis Ltd, Regent Place, Birmingham.
It was assayed in Birmingham and is hallmarked with the maker's mark "D&F", for Deakin & Francis (Stephen Henry Deakin & John Horace Francis) alongside the "crown" symbol and "18" for 18 carat solid gold, the anchor Birmingham town mark and date letter "i" for 1908/09.
The circular shaped case has the original owner's initials nicely engraved to the front.
It is in very good condition.
It measures approximately 46mm in diameter. The weight is 24.6g.
18CT gold vesta cases are relatively rare a nice addition to any collection. Specialists in Antique Pocket Watches & Vintage Wristwatches, Jewellery, Silver (including Scottish Provincial),Good Quality Antiques & Works of Art.
