This is a fine quality antique English Georgian Regency mahogany coffee table, with an oval-shaped top, measuring 3ft 5½” wide, adapted from a larger table, circa 1830, in excellent condition. The Regency coffee table has been adapted from a larger taller table top and reduced in height, in order to serve at a coffee table height and size. The oval coffee table measures 3ft 5½” wide by 1ft 11⅝” deep. This antique mahogany low table incorporates an oval moulded mahogany top, attached to pedestal base, with three splayed mahogany legs, decorated with ebony inlay and terminating on the brass toe caps and castors. This antique coffee table is solid in joint and ready to use.
This Regency mahogany coffee table displays a rich mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour patination which can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This Regency mahogany coffee table, would look good in either a traditional or contemporary setting, for formal or everyday use, as a coffee table / centre table and radiates timeless character and charm. It would certainly grace any home or office and is a great investment as it is extremely functional.
Condition Report:
This is a fine quality antique English Georgian Regency mahogany coffee table, with an oval-shaped top, measuring 3ft 5½” wide, adapted from a larger table, circa 1830, in excellent condition. The Regency coffee table has been adapted from a larger taller table top and reduced in height, in order to serve at a coffee table height and size. Nominal old use marks to the top and leading edges, but nothing significant considering its age. There are no breaks to the frame, splayed legs or brass castors. As this mahogany coffee table boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic mellow colour and patination. This 19th century coffee table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
