The most charming little figural coin purse made from leather and fitted with a white metal / nickel clasp and chain. The leather is in very good condition.

Of course what makes this so very special and highly collectible is the wonderful cast brass Owl's face mount to the front sporting his original glass eyes I haven't had one of these for around two years so was delighted to find this on a recent buying trip.

Dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890. The purse measures 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" and 5 3/4" including the chain.
