One of the most exquisite scales I have had for some time, a superb and highly decorative design made from cast reticulated brass.

The set of five weights sit in their own individual cradles on the base the weights are marked 2 oz / 1 oz / 1/2 oz, 1/4oz the two top weights are unmarked. The three middle weights all have the matching English design registration diamond shaped lozenge allowing us to accurately date the piece, this having a registration date of May 31, 1855. The set of weights all stack into a beehive.

Excellent condition, meausing 7 1/2" x 5" x 5" tall.
