A most unusual and highly sought-after late Victorian or Edwardian vesta case made from brass, nickel plated with the natural antique patina.

The case is opened by squeezing the two beaks together and it springs open. There is a strike to the underside and he retains his two original glass eyes.

Excellent condition and dating to around 1900. 2 1/4" wide x 2" tall x 7/8" deep.
