A splendid large Edwardian carved wooden chess set complete with wooden storage box, having been professionally re-polished.

The black pieces are a combination of turned Ebony and Ebonised Boxwood and the white pieces created from turned and carved Boxwood. They are slightly weighted and a really good size, a good substantial set to play with, the king measuring 3 1/4" tall.

Excellent condition, with the storage box measuring 8" x 4 3/4" x 3 1/4".
