This attractive late 19th century French side chair offers neoclassical style and is presented in good antique condition with new textile.
It will serve wonderfully as a bedroom chair, hallway feature, dining chair or morning room piece.
A well proportioned and classically styled chair with the seat newly upholstered in a quality textile with matching brocade.
The chair is a quality example with a strong frame presenting a pleasing oval form back with bergere cane-work back in excellent condition.
Rising from desirable elegant fluted legs which terminate in a lotus flower corner block.
The whole chair benefits from an aged gilt finish, time worn and flaked in places, creating a pleasing aesthetic.
The supportive seat offers a rewarding seating experience with the generous seat height of 50cm (19.7").
