A stunning antique French marble top inlaid commode. This dates from around the 1880-1900 period.

It is of superb quality, it is predominantly burr walnut, with beautiful inlays of various woods and high quality gilt bronze mounts. The colour tones are lovely, this has two generous drawers and a beautiful pink marble top.

The condition is excellent for its age, we have just had it re-polished. On each side there appears to have been a split, which has been filled and polished over. I think it could have been movement in the join of the wood. It looks worse in the images than in real life.
