A magnificent antique French balloon back chair in beautifully figured walnut dating from the late 19th century. It has a shaped top rail with a double circle crossing in the back with carved scrolls. It stands on carved and shaped cabriole legs with carving to the knees and scroll feet. Newly re-webbed and recovered, solid and sturdy and in good original condition. Would make a wonderful dressing table chair or bedroom chair.

Good original condition. Beautiful warm colour and patina. Solid frame. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly re-webbed and recovered (horsehair).
