Antique French Walnut Chair Louis XV Style Carved
A rare Louis XV style French carved walnut corner chair in its original hand embroidered fabric.
The superbly hand carved frame has a low curving back centred by a splat of pierced foliate scrolling acanthus. The lower frieze has further carved detail and the curved cabriole legs are finished with a carved knuckle scroll foot.
This rare chair still has its beautiful original fabric with fine hand embroidered fushia flowers and a small bird in flight.
This fabric is in excellent condition really for its age with only slight wear to the front edge as to be expected.(shown in photo 9)
The solid walnut frame is in excellent sound condition with no movement to the joints.
A very pretty and rare chair in lovely original order.
The chair measures 77 cms high 69 wide by 56 cms deep.
