A handsome small antique Georgian night stand in figured mahogany dating from circa 1810. The front lifts up to reveal storage space inside (bottom is false front which does not open). It has beautifully figured mahogany to the bow front, with ebony stringing and attractive turned handles and stands on elegant out-swept bracket feet. Lovely age and patina to the wood. This piece would have originally started life as a commode / chamber pot cupboard. A high quality piece it would make a lovely side cabinet, hall cupboard or TV unit.
