This antique rosewood chiffonier is a quality item & in good original condition. The only thing we changed was the lining behind the brass grills & I like the way my upholsterer did it with soft padding behind the fabric. This cabinet has a concave front & the doors are concave too. There are some fine brass inlays along the top section & around the doors. The side columns have gilt metal mounts top & bottom, which give the effect of Corinthian columns. The marble top is original & perfect. There is a top concaved drawer with is still lined with baize & there is a single shelf inside behind the doors. There is also a brass beading running up the door & we still have the key for the lock. The figuring on the rosewood is lovely & the colour is good too. This chiffonier is Regency in style & dates to around the 1910-20’s period.
