Antique Japanese Fukagawa Seiji Porcelain Dish

This is a beautiful Japanese porcelain dish by the Fukagawa Seiji company in perfect condition dating from the Taison period circa 1910.
Fukagawa Seiji company was founded by Fukagawa Chuji (1871-1934) who was the second oldest son of Fukagawa Eizaemon. The company exported a porcelain ware to Europe and America that was highly prized through the world fairs. The mark was that of the name of the company under Mt. Fuji and a Stream or only the Mt. Fuji.
The dish is of scalloped rim form and is superbly hand enamelled with fan shaped panels of blossoms, irises, and Koi carp swimming. The central roundel depicts a stylised asiatic pheasant all beautifully painted on a deep blue and gilt wagara ground. The decorative piece has a factory seal mark to the base in under glazed blue and measures 32 cms in diameter.
Perfect condition with no damage or restoration.
