This is a most characterful Kazak carpet from Central Caucasus which dates from the late 19th Century. The carpet has three medallions enclosed by deep Harshang borders and a warm colour palette featuring brick red, mid blue and turmeric. There is a some light wear to the ends of the carpet, the selvidges are in good order. It is woven in lovely soft wool with a good even pile. This is in nice clean condition, ready to use and measures 250 cms 129 cms.
