Antique Large Stripped Pine Chest of Five Drawers
A lovely antique chest of drawers. We date this chest to the 1900s.
The chest has a shapely cut out plinth front and has five graduated drawers. The drawers are fitted with lovely brass drop handles mounted on decorative backplates.
The chest has a height of 46" (116cm), a width of 39" (99cm) and a depth of 20.5" (52cm).
This lovely chest remains in a good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage, including a small age split to the top left of the surface and some old filled worm holes that have been treated twice to make sure. The chest has been painted in the past, it is still possible to see the previous paint on the outer insides of the drawers.
This remains a very stylish and elegant chest which will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
