Antique Large Triple Mahogany Mirror Door Wardrobe
A lovely triple wardrobe. We date this wardrobe to the early 20th century.
The wardrobe is supplied in four sections the base, separate cornice, the main double hanging section and the drawer side section.
The wardrobe sits on four splayed bracket feet.
The double left hand side of the wardrobe has two side hinged doors, the interior has a side to side full width hanging rail below a full width shelf, there are four brass hooks to the rear.
There is a single section to the right, internally it has six brass hooks, two to each side, below this there are two linen press drawers over a deeper drawer with a brass handle.
The middle door has an arched mirror and the two side doors have attractive pierced mouldings to the corners.
The wardrobe is fitted with drop handles mounted on decorative backplates and locks (no key is supplied but one could be obtained if needed), the left hand door is fitted with top and bottom catches. The handles turn to operate the catches.
The wardrobe has a height of 71.5" (182cm), a width of 62.5" (159cm) and a depth of 23" (59cm).
The wardrobe has an internal hanging depth of 17.5” (44cm).
This lovely wardrobe remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The wardrobe has some slight mellowing and some minor wear and indentations to some edges.
This remains a very stylish and elegant wardrobe which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
