This is an antique lounge arm chair. An English, mahogany framed club seat, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.
Of imperious form with superb, inviting upholstery
Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
Mahogany frame shows deep chestnut hues with carved details
Benefits from a quality, recent professional reupholstering
Perfect for the lounge or club room, with appealing 'long thigh' form
Generous proportion with open rolled arms, deep in profile with a relaxed, low back rest
Strikingly verdant soft fabric basks in fine green tones
Adorned with tasteful brocade trim in a light golden hue
Acanthus leaves decorate the scrolled knuckles, repeated throughout the frame
Bold front apron with sash motif framed by wave detail carvings
